Datasource Pulse: setup-review submissions Purpose Send your monitoring requirements for a coverage and setup review. Submitting a request does not activate monitoring or authorize paid checks. Do not include API keys, passwords, tokens, cookies or personal customer data. Provider identifiers may be included in your private brief, not in public posts. Templates Human-readable Word template: /templates/monitoring-setup-brief.docx Machine-readable template: /templates/monitoring-setup-brief.json The template is a starting point, not a requirement to complete every field. Mark unknown details explicitly. Do not invent test evidence or healthy results. Endpoint POST https://datasourcepulse.com/api/connector-intake Content-Type: application/json Machine-readable contract: /api/connector-intake/openapi.json Required body { "requestId": "a fresh UUID for this submission", "email": "your reply address", "message": "A short explanation of what you want monitored.", "document": { "filename": "monitoring-setup-brief.json", "contentBase64": "standard base64 encoding of the complete file" }, "consent": true } The consent value confirms permission to send this brief for review and an understanding that it must not contain secrets or personal customer data. The optional website field is an anti-spam field: leave it empty or omit it. One document per request, at most 2 MiB before base64 encoding. Supported extensions: .docx, .pdf, .json, .txt. The file contents must match the extension. General ZIP archives, macro-enabled documents and executable files are not accepted. Message length: 10-4000 characters. Do not include a recipient address: the service uses a fixed private recipient. No API credential or x402 payment is required for a setup-review submission. Basic rate limits apply; this is not a bulk-mail endpoint. Success HTTP 200: {"status":"accepted","reference":"your submission reference"} Accepted means the email service accepted the forwarding request, not that a human has read it or inbox delivery has been independently confirmed. The attachment is forwarded by email, not published or kept in a separate application document store. The receiving mailbox and email service retain the email under their own retention policies. Minimal submission metadata is used for duplicate prevention and abuse limits; documents are not logged. Retries Keep the same requestId and identical body when retrying an uncertain outcome, within 23 hours of the original submission. Do not change the requestId simply because the response was interrupted. Use a fresh requestId only for a genuinely new or changed submission. If a response says the retry window has expired, do not automatically resubmit under a new identifier: the earlier submission may already have been forwarded. Errors Errors have an "error" message, never the operator's recipient or sender address. 400: invalid fields or document; correct the input. 409: duplicate identifier conflict, pending request or expired retry window; follow the error message without automatically creating a new identifier. 413: document or request too large. 415: unsupported content type or document format. 429: rate limited; respect Retry-After where provided. 503: temporarily unavailable; preserve the requestId and body for a later retry. A failed request must not be treated as a successful submission. Python example (standard library; no secrets required) import base64 import json import pathlib import urllib.error import urllib.request import uuid file = pathlib.Path("monitoring-setup-brief.json") payload = { "requestId": str(uuid.uuid4()), # Preserve this ID and payload across retries. "email": "you@example.com", # Replace with your real reply address. "message": "Please review coverage for the operations in my setup brief.", "document": { "filename": file.name, "contentBase64": base64.b64encode(file.read_bytes()).decode("ascii"), }, "consent": True, } request = urllib.request.Request( "https://datasourcepulse.com/api/connector-intake", data=json.dumps(payload).encode("utf-8"), headers={"Content-Type": "application/json"}, method="POST", ) try: with urllib.request.urlopen(request, timeout=45) as response: result = json.load(response) if result.get("status") != "accepted": raise RuntimeError("Submission was not accepted") print("Accepted for review:", result["reference"]) except urllib.error.HTTPError as error: print("Not accepted:", error.code, error.read().decode("utf-8")) except urllib.error.URLError: print("Outcome uncertain. Preserve the same requestId and payload for retry.")
